POKEY O’S TO CELEBRATE 15TH ANNIVERSARY ON 3/4 WITH WITH $1 SANDWICHES

All Are Welcome to Join Pokey O’s on March 4 to celebrate their 15th Anniversary

DALLAS (February 28, 2020) – Family-owned Dallas-based cookie and ice cream shop, Pokey O's Cookies & Ice Cream, will celebrate its 15th anniversary on March 4 at their Flagship store. Everyone is invited to enjoy $1 Pokey O's Ice Cream Sandwiches* and enter to win hourly raffle drawings for gifts like goodies from the store, free cookies for a year, and even an ice cream sandwich catering for 25 people!

The store was conceptualized in the Fall of 2005 by the Oszustowicz family, who still owns the flagship store and has worked with licensees to open Pokey O’s stores throughout Texas. They opened the store to give SMU students, Dallas residents, and visitors a friendly place to enjoy a delicious treat, and offerings have increased beyond traditional ice cream treats since.

Co-owner Len Oszustowicz said, "We never thought when we started work on the concept 15 years ago that we would see this event! We’re so excited to welcome everyone in to celebrate this milestone with us."

The store, located next to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, was the FIRST in the DFW area to offer custom ice cream sandwiches made with a choice of 16 cookies and 16 Blue Bell ice cream flavors (and now four additional alcoholic ice cream options). Their cookies are baked fresh in the store daily and are now available to be delivered warm via delivery apps.

The store has been a mainstay of the community since its opening and has seen many birthday parties, engagements, and more happen in its store. Kathy Oszustowicz, co-owner of Pokey O’s, says, “We have been blessed to have a wonderful relationship with this community for the last 15 years … and we’re looking forward to doing it for 15 more!”

The store will be open regular hours—11am to 10pm—for this event and additional, covered seating will be available. All other products will be available at regular prices. The regular price of classic Pokey O’s Ice Cream Sandwiches is $3.99.
